I use them for soaking up spills. In the heat of summer I soak them in ice water, soak my shirt and tuck them inside my collar and around my neck. As long as there is even the slightest breeze, these act like a swamp cooler. The chamois absorbs body heat and the water disperses it. I had my girlfriend make a a french hat with a tail in the back. Take a plastic bag and a few ice cubes. Put it on the back of you head known as your soft spot. Soak hat and get to work in the sun. If you don’t you will start freezing within a few minutes. My wife got me four of these large super shammies for Christmas, I’ve used one twice now…it’s not bad. Soak up the water, wring it out, and use a micro-fiber to dry the excess.
